Final Public Information Meeting

The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) presented the preferred alternative at the Final Public Information Meeting. The meeting was held at the Fox Lake District Library from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The exhibits displayed at the meeting are available to download here.

Public Meeting 2 - Project Alternatives

Public Information Meeting 2 was held at the Fox Lake Library on July 29, 2014 at 5:00 PM as an open house format. The purpose of the meeting was to review two alternatives and to collect comments from the public.

Stakeholder Update - May 2014

Members of the Stakeholder Involvement Group were contacted with a project update. Coordination with IDOT has resulted in the continued development alternative 2, with a proposed traffic signal at the new intersection of IL 59 with Rerouted Washington Street. The two design alternatives are being refined and analyzed and will be presented at a public meeting in the near future.

Stakeholder Meeting No. 1 - Conducted December 13, 2012

This stakeholder meeting was held at the Fox Lake Library on December 13, 2012 at 1:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting was to review existing conditions and introduce two concept alternatives to some of the project stakeholders. The group discussed the project area, the need for improvement and what the upcoming process will entail. Exhibits were presented at the meeting to show the project area and the prominent intersection deficiencies. Exhibits were presented on two alternatives for additional study. It was the consensus of the group to proceed with additional investigations of these alternatives. A roundabout was discussed, but is not being recommended for further study by the County due to impacts.
